Verify the App Store Listing
Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms. It’s a one-time purchase and is available only on the App Store. Check the store region and app details before purchasing. If you’ve already bought it, check your purchased items first.
- Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
- App ID: 932747118
- $2.99 one-time purchase · US storefront; check the App Store listing
- Universal purchase for iPhone and iPad
The app purchase does not include a service plan. This site does not provide or sell nodes or subscriptions; users manage their own connection details.
APP STORE / REGION
Store and account region: check whether the app is available
Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. App Store availability mainly depends on the country or region of the Apple Account used for purchases—not just your device’s current location, system language, or search terms. If Shadowrocket doesn’t appear in search results, check your account’s region instead of choosing an app with a similar name.
The main button on this page links to the US App Store product page. Opening this link lets you check the app details, but the storefront in the URL won’t change your Apple Account’s country or region. Seeing the product page in a browser also doesn’t guarantee that your signed-in account can make a purchase. The App Store on your device will show whether the transaction can be completed.
How to check your country or region
- Open Settings on your device and tap your Apple Account at the top.
- Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account. Follow the prompts to authenticate.
- Tap Country/Region to check your current storefront. If you need to change it, use the option provided there.
Labels may vary slightly depending on your device language and system version; follow what appears on your screen. Pay particular attention to the account shown under Media & Purchases, which may differ from the account used for other services on your device. Purchases are tied to the account that completed the transaction, so check this account when restoring the app on a new device.
Before changing your region, review the conditions shown by the system. Account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing status, payment methods, and pending transactions may affect the process. Don’t ignore system prompts just to continue with a purchase, and don’t assume that seeing the app in a storefront means your account can switch regions successfully. This page explains where to check and change settings; it can’t guarantee the outcome.
If your device is managed by a family or organization, check Screen Time and device management for restrictions on purchases or app installation. If you see a restriction message, resolve the relevant permission and try the product page again. For more about accounts and storefronts, see the App Store guide.
IDENTITY / THREE CHECKS
Verify the app: check three details, not just the name
Shadowrocket is the product name to look for in the App Store. Check the developer, official icon, and app ID as well.
Shadowrocket
Official App Store app icon
Developer: check the full name
The developer should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Open the product page and check the full name in the developer information or app details—not just the title in search results. A similar name, icon, or description containing related keywords is no substitute for verifying the developer.
Icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background
Compare the app with the official icon shown here: a white background with a blue-and-purple outlined rocket. Don’t rely on similar colors alone. The icon can help identify the app, but confirm it against the developer name and product page address too. A different app in search results isn’t the same product just because it uses a similar name.
App ID: 932747118
The product page address includes id932747118, which identifies this app. The app ID distinguishes the specific App Store product; it isn’t a version number. Confirm all three details before purchasing. If any detail doesn’t match, stop and return to the App Store link on this page to check again.
The screenshots show where screens are located, not how to configure a connection. Not Connected on Home reflects the state shown in the screenshot; the fields on Add Server must be filled with your own existing server details. The layout may change with app updates, so don’t use screenshot positions alone to determine the version or purchase status. For import instructions after installation, see the Shadowrocket setup guide.
DEVICE / IPHONE
iPhone: purchase, install, and open for the first time
On your iPhone, open the App Store product page, verify the three app details, and review compatibility information. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. Check the product page on the device you’ll use; don’t assume details shown for another device apply to yours. Before purchasing, also confirm the currency and price shown for your account’s storefront.
After confirming the purchase, follow the App Store payment and authentication steps. Once the app icon has finished downloading, open Shadowrocket. If the button keeps waiting or the download stalls, check available storage and your network connection. If an error message appears, note it and troubleshoot the relevant step rather than paying again.
Opening the app for the first time doesn’t mean the connection is configured. Import your own existing subscription or server details, then choose the Global Routing mode that fits your setup. Config, Proxy, and Direct on Home refer to three modes: configuration, proxy, and direct connection. A successful purchase and correctly configured settings are separate matters.
VPN configuration prompt on first connection
The first time you try to connect, the system may ask to allow a VPN configuration to be added. This creates the VPN entry needed for a connection; it isn’t another app purchase. Confirm and authenticate only when you’re sure you’re using Shadowrocket and are ready to enable your own configuration.
After allowing it, you can check the entry on the VPN-related screen in Settings. Allowing a configuration doesn’t guarantee that the server details are correct or that the remote service is available. Return to the app to check the selected item and connection status. If you previously denied the prompt, try connecting again in the app and follow the prompts currently shown by the system.
If you’ve already purchased Shadowrocket on this or another device, first find it under your App Store account’s purchased items. If you see a price button, don’t pay again right away. Check the account under Media & Purchases and your original purchase history first.
DEVICE / IPAD
iPad: install using the same purchase
Shadowrocket is a universal purchase for iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with the same Apple Account, you can redownload it from your App Store purchased items on a compatible iPad; you don’t need to buy it separately for each device type. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability. Before proceeding, review the compatibility section on the iPad you’ll use.
First check that the original purchasing account is signed in under Media & Purchases on your iPad. Then open your App Store account and find your purchased items. If the product page shows a redownload button, follow the prompts. If it shows a price, check the account first rather than buying again just because you switched from iPhone to iPad.
An iPad’s larger display may show some content in a split layout, especially in landscape orientation. To find features, look for interface labels such as Home, Config, Settings, and Add Server rather than relying on their positions in iPhone screenshots. A change in screen layout doesn’t mean you need to buy the app again.
Purchase history and connection settings are separate kinds of data. After installing the app on an iPad, check that the correct configuration is available on that device. If it hasn’t been imported, use your own subscription or server details. Being able to redownload the app doesn’t mean all your settings will automatically appear on another device. Before connecting, check the selected item and Global Routing.
PURCHASE / RESTORE
New device or reinstall: start with purchased items
When moving to a new device or reinstalling after deleting the app, use the Apple Account that made the original purchase to redownload Shadowrocket from your App Store purchased items. If the original purchase conditions still apply, you won’t be charged again. To restore the app, find the right purchase record—not the app icon’s old location on your previous device.
- On your new device, check that the account under Media & Purchases in Settings matches the account used for the original purchase.
- Open the App Store, go to your account, then open Purchased. Depending on your system version, the section may appear as Apps or My Apps; follow the labels shown on your device.
- Find Shadowrocket, verify the developer and app details, tap the redownload button, and wait for installation to finish.
- Open the app and check its configuration on this device. Import your own saved subscription or server details; when you connect for the first time, follow the system prompt to add a VPN configuration.
If it’s missing from Purchased, check your records
First check whether you’re signed in with a different purchasing account. Then check whether the app is hidden and whether it’s still available in your current storefront. You can also check the original transaction in your account’s purchase history. A payment record can help determine whether the account differs, the list isn’t displaying correctly, or storefront availability has changed. Don’t assume the purchase is invalid just because the app doesn’t appear in the list temporarily.
If the product page still shows a price, pause before paying and check further. Your device’s cloud account status alone doesn’t confirm that the App Store is using the account that made the purchase; check the account under Media & Purchases. For unexpected charges, billing issues, or purchase history questions, follow the App Store account and system support prompts.
Check Family Sharing and configuration recovery separately
Family Sharing availability depends on the App Store listing and your family group and purchase-sharing settings. Restoring a purchase with the same Apple Account doesn’t automatically mean family members can install the app. Check the conditions shown on the product page and in your family settings, then review the relevant purchased items.
After restoring the app, if your previous items aren’t on Home, check your own configuration backup and import files. App Store restores the app associated with your purchase, not remote subscription content. Save existing configurations carefully before making changes, and don’t share subscription links or server credentials with unrelated people. Check the imported details before connecting.
PRICE / ONE-TIME PURCHASE
Price and one-time purchase: app cost is separate from connection services
Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app. The US storefront lists it at $2.99 as a one-time purchase; check the App Store listing for the current price. Other storefronts show prices in local currencies, so use the amount shown for your account’s storefront and on the purchase confirmation screen. This page doesn’t provide fixed conversions between storefronts or assume that one user’s payment amount applies to everyone.
A one-time purchase means you don’t pay a monthly fee for the client. App updates are delivered through the App Store after purchase. Check the App Store updates list, or use your device’s automatic app update settings if you prefer. Update availability depends on what’s shown for your current storefront and device.
After a successful purchase, the app may still show Not Connected or have no server to select until you import your existing details. Complete that import rather than buying the app again. Conversely, if you already have a configuration but can’t connect, check the configuration, remote service status, and network conditions. A client purchase record doesn’t guarantee a successful connection.
If you see charges for both the app and other services, check each bill’s source and what it covers. The App Store product page describes the client’s purchase terms; remote services managed by you have separate availability and configuration requirements. After verifying the app, continue with the setup guide. If you’ve imported your details but can’t connect, see the connection troubleshooting FAQ.
QUESTIONS / PURCHASE
Download and purchase FAQ
Start by identifying which step is affected: the store, purchase, device, or configuration. Don’t treat prompts from different steps as the same issue.
Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?
Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. App availability depends on your Apple Account’s country or region. Check it under Media & Purchases in Settings, then make sure you’re searching for Shadowrocket. The US storefront link on this page won’t change your account’s region automatically.
The product page opens, but the app won’t download. What should I check?
Note the App Store message, then check your account’s store region, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. If the issue occurs during purchase, check your payment method and any outstanding balance. Follow the system prompts; refer to the App Store listing for system requirements.
Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall Shadowrocket?
Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items and download it again. You won’t be charged again for that purchase. If a price appears, check the account under Media & Purchases and your purchase history before proceeding—don’t buy it again right away.
Can I install it on my iPad after purchasing it?
Shadowrocket is a universal purchase for iPhone and iPad. Once purchased with the same Apple Account, you can redownload it from your purchased items on a compatible iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability. Existing subscriptions or server details must be checked and imported separately on the device.
Can I use it on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?
The compatibility section of the App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product details in the App Store on your device. Refer to the listing for universal purchase availability and system requirements.
The official screenshots are in English. How do I follow along?
This page uses English screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. The guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Global Routing, and Add Server in English, with explanations alongside them. Follow the interface shown on your device. Check the App Store’s Languages section for supported app languages.
